Some help for Farmers, to keep British Cheese affordable!

Some good news for dairy farmers, as Cheese can be seen as a supermarket staple, some supermarkets are trying to help with the costs. One shop imparticularly, Tesco’s is going a little further in trying to help British farmers and cheese producers, they have set up an initiative called ‘Tesco’s Cheese Group‘.

Tesco’s has 250 farmers who supply the six supermarket creameries, these suppliers such as First Milk are guaranteed a price premium along with the standard price of milk.

They also improve their businesses for the future with support and resources. Many of the plus points and bonusses include intiatives on animal health and welfare and their environmental footprints. You can read more about it here in the Daily Mail.
